Noooooo, Why you leavin me?
It looks like Jean Grae is bidding adieu to the record industry.
In a new blog on her MySpace page, the Brooklyn emcee thanks all of her fans for their support and gives salutations to hip-hop, with a finalizing tone.
“It's been a wonderful and awful journey all at the same time. Mostly leaning towards the wonderful part..lol. Thank you for letting me share what I could with you and sharing yourselves back, as you have really been the reason that I kept on,” she types. “I will always love what I consider to be true hip hop music... from the bottom of my soul. I hope you will continue to distinguish those who are contributors to the evolution of Hip Hop and other black music as both an auditory stimulation and a culture, taking care that they are put in a position to do so.”
She ends the note saying, “Enjoy…see y’all around. It’s been amazing. Thank you again”
Her profile name on MySpace has also been changed to “Jean Grae Saying Peace Out,” and her only remaining profile picture is of her apparently blowing a kiss goodbye.
Jean Grae joined Blacksmith Music, Talib Kweli’s label imprint under Warner Bros, in September 2005. She was set to formally release Jeanius, the heavily-bootlegged and delayed album produced entirely by 9th Wonder, later this year.

Haha!! Wouldn't you like to be a nigga too.
So, we all know the thoughts going through our minds when we heard Nas was going to name his new album Nigger. The contreversy, that funny ass video about the white guy trying to buy it at record stores, the t-shirts all made us wonder what the hell this album was gonna sound like. If this joint is any indication than my worries are no more. Still illmatic mayne.

What the future holds..........
Back in the studio tomorrow, waiting patiently on people and places to hit me back. Me and Gift got heat, new record, you'll hear it. Promise. Me and Traxxion, (airplane, crash, of course like a skateboard, + more on the way). Me and T(Styrofoam Cups), Me and DA(Higher, She Holla) I've just been making new music left and right. I'm excited about tomorrow and the day after. I got two shows this week, one with big homie Gemstones and Flo-Rida. Life in the eyes of a optimist, (I kick it with pessimist so it evens out) Summer is coming in the chi and with that comes a relief of making it through another winter. Summer is good times, and this summer especially is looking real promising. If you check the charts and the underground press then you should be noticing what I'm noticing "chicago" is bubbling. All this music that we make is starting to get some play, we're starting to get looked at. One of the most creative places in the world, the chi. I took this picture before heading to this birthday party, a friend was turning 19. I turn 21 in a month, me and T(5-7-87) I'M CELEBRATING ALL WEEKEND!!!! My birthday present to self? nah not the armani cell phone, I bought tickets to the glow in the dark tour. So, while I wait for things to happen, I celebrate. Hope to see you all @ the crossroads on the 11th. Peace.......and "Glow in the dark" sounds like a dope name for a song....hmm....lol.
