Grand Ambitions.......
So far this has been a pretty good start. Lol. The 5th is gonna be fun. I'm trying to make sure I put together a dope show for you guys. My whole thing is about progression, trying to do better than what was done. I think I need a guitar player, and a girl. Singer I mean, lol. I'm looking forward to this though, hope to see you all there.

Whats the matter with your life?
Idk....I'm excited about of things going on right now man. I just wrapped up the tracks for my mixtape "Where Anything Goes Volume 1" I'm immediately figuring out songs for Air Raid my next mixtape. That workaholic spirit but when you love what you do it doesn't feel like work. The mean wit it video has gotten some good feedback along with a couple of the songs I let leak out. I got a show on the 5th of march that is gonna be pretty exciting I'm planning that out now as I type this down. Look for my mugshot hitting newstands near you in a few months (shhh, Urb?) I'm also working on a few tracks with some artists overseas with a finished and fresh collaboration with the big homie Adam Tensta, I'm trying new things as far as my music is concerned and I've got so many songs I feel like should just put them on one big album and send them out, btu what would be the fun in that? My song "Chicago Girls" something fun I did inspired by seeing too many fine girls on michigan ave sparked quite a debate on fakeshore. Even though the immediate feedback was more of "this dude sucks" type ish, I appreciate the fact that my song sparked a convo that spanned neearly 60 comments. I just finished a song that is so incredibly pop that I'm both excited and scared to release it. But then, I want to be something different and I don't feel like flying with limitiations, on a siderant: why can't an artist with the ability to, travel between genres while making his music, because my life is made up of so many different moments and interests that I don't feel like limiting myself to one sound. Fuck that. I'm shooting a video for "Styrofoam cups" and I have a feeling that song along with the other things I got planned are gonna make 09 an incredible year. I feel like I'm off to a good start but hey.....what do I know. lol. Yessir.

So yea, If you've gotten to know me by now you probably already know me and V-Day don't fare that well with eachother. I spent my valentines day in bed. But not in the good way. I only get sick maybe 3 times out of the year and I find it interesting that Valentines day happened to be one of them. So hear I am laid up with everything from the tv to my friends screaming Love in the air, and I'm so not there. Not even trying to care. I wonder if there is a part of me that is missing, like, there's a section of my heart where all that Love/Crazy shit was suppose to be but it missed me. I did have plans though, not exactly "Valentines" day stuff but something to make sure I wasn't bored out of my mind while my caked up friends did their thing. Instead, I was stuck in my bed, listening to 808's and Heartbreaks sick as hell wondering all of this random ish. I hate being sick man, its fucks up my whole demeanor and it just added to the reason why Valentines day isn't exactly my favorite holiday, in the words of one of my friends who shares my sentiment "Fuck valentines day, let's get laid". Ha. Story of my life.....

The Grammy's........
Was dope. I think that was the best one in probably the last 3 years or so. I felt the artists that deserved to win, did, and the performances from every genre were off the chain. Coldplay killed it, I felt, personally, I think thy had one of the dopest performances, but nothing is topping Swagger Like Us, that was sick as hell in itself. Add to the fact that I was tazed while watching it and I'm thinking it was def NOT a disappointment.

Love Bizarre..........
1987. My favorite year. Prince & Sheila E performing "Love Bizarre" in Europe. Idk, I never got to see Prince in his prime so when I stumbled onto this performance I thought it was dope as hell. From the song to the execution man, you see why Prince is held up as high as he is man, its one song and its still a sick ass performance. Forget the purple tank top, lol, but then again the fact that Prince had the courage to just do it is what made him an icon. This is another example of "pop" as true art man. Shows don't exist like this anymore. What started this was me searching for Sheila .E on youtube and I saw this, Idk why I think its so ill, probably because it is. St.Elswhere man.

A tribute to Kenyan women.French outdoor installation artist (call it “street art” if you must) extraordinaire JR continues his epic 28 MILLIMETER: WOMEN Project with the unveiling this week of his most ambitious stage yet in KIBERA, KENYA. Reconnecting with the subjects he photographed over a year ago in the city—one of the largest slums in Africa—at the start of his mission to portray on a grand scale the unseen and unempowered women of the world, the reunion was an especially poignant moment for the artist. With the help of enthusiastic residents, JR managed to cover 2,000 square meters of local rooftops with photos of the eyes and faces of the women of Kibera, giving them a monumental voice and presence in a city where their own existence is often marginalized. Most of the subjects had their photos installed atop their own roofs and for the first time in JRs global series of installations, the material used is water-resistant enabling that the photo itself to protect the fragile houses in the upcoming rainy season. In order to further spread his message throughout the massive city, JR also encapsulated the local train that runs through the area twice daily with the eyes of local women alongside those of women photographed in Brazil, India, Cambodia, and other parts of Africa whose stories and images reveal a global solidarity of plight and purpose. The pinnacle of the experience, however, comes when the eyes on the moving train align with the static bottom halves of the subject’s faces posted along the train’s embankment, completing the smiling portraits for a split second in rapid succession before moving on to the next village where the experience is repeated.

Ladies. I've heard, too many times, that I'm arrogant, selfish, inconsiderate, a jerk, asshole, ect....On the same hand I've heard I'm one of the nicest guys out in this cold world of ours. I admit I am selfish, extremely so. At this time in my life I don't believe in giving a piece of myself to something that doesn't benefit or help me in the future. Nothing personal, its just my frame of mind. As far as arrogant....no, I prefer confident. I am confident in myself and my abilities, please don't mistake that for "swag" or "arrogance" or "conciet"....its just confidence baby. Something that other people should have in themselves, am I to blame because I don't deny it. Too the girls who think that I am the above, I'm sorry. I'm really a take or leave it type of person. If it turns out that your the one to convince me of thing I don't believe in, then you'll be the one I give the world. But until then, love me or hate me. This movie was my sht. My family kept their beta player and this and purple rain were the only two movies on it. So I use to watch it all the time. I think part of the reason I signed up for martial arts classes was because of this movie. Lol, my whole life has been the pursuit of the glow. And Kanye is OC for stealing Shonuff's stunner shades. Dope.
The BIG letter.............
When I was growing up, the friends that I had and their older brothers and cousins were B.I.G fans. It wasn't any hate with Pac, BIG was just ill. You can't deny that as a lyricist, Notorious had the belt. I remember standing in line at school and my friends talking about Tupac dying, and then in what seemed like minutes later we were talking about Biggie. His music inspired me even then. The movie was good minus the guy they got to play Pac, but then who could actually get away with playing Tupac. I'm glad they did the story justice. My little sister is asking me to loan her my Life after death CD now. lol. Its all good.
