In Pursuit........

The background image the people at Apple put together.

It's been a minute since we've spoken directly. I know the abstract posts on here are supposed to represent what I'm interested in but that doesn't mean it helps you with where my head is at. Right now it's hard to tell. On the one hand, my grandmother hasn't been feeling well, and as the oldest and only son, much of the burdens fall on my shoulder. It's not that I can't carry it, I've held much more but it sometimes irks me that I have nowhere to go with these thoughts. I can't relay them to the people closest to me, or at least I don't like to. So I leave my release for my music, which in turn I give to you. On the other hand, -High Times- has received alot of love and positive feedback, and I want to say thank you to everyone who has listened to it, if even for a moment. Your support means so much. You guys help keep me afloat on this journey we're on. I know the road is a long one, I was prepared for that when I set out. I also knew that it wouldn't be easy to achieve what I'm reaching for, but nothing worth anything ever is. In following my dreams, I choose to fight for them every day that I get out of bed. So be it. I've got so many ideas, so many things on the horizon. As a group, my team is amazing. C.Rich's -Voice of Reason- dropped to last week. The response to his project has been awesome to say the least. Fox is in Europe, working on a major label project right now, swag on 100,000. T's in ATL being a super saiyan. Me & The smoking section just performed at the Apple Store and have another show coming up on the 1st. I'm working on the video for -Lights Out- which we're trying to make better than anything we've done before. Forward motion. That's what we're all striving for. To continue pushing ourselves and the people around us to do better. To take things further. I tattooed my mission statement on my arm last year, and I think I've been living up to it. -Purple- is waiting in the wings,. It's delay due to the fact that I want it to have the impact I think it deserves. I'm so proud of the music that's there. I'm so proud of the people that helped me create it. The things that we're doing. I'm proud of all of us, for continuing forward, striving for what we know we deserve. I'm just proud. Even when the world feels dark around me, its these thoughts that keep me lit. I just had to take a moment, before I got back to work. Middle of the road blues, but it's ok I can see the other side from here. One foot in front of the other, let's go.

Ad Space.

TO ME, this idea is brilliant. Puma did something similar with the floating balloons, a different look at finding and utilizing ad space.

From Cool Hunter:

Audi, a brand exuding an attitude of self confidence and progressive thinking, and associated with the latest technology and innovative design, is a perfect brand to pioneer this entirely original concept, a new breed of “billboard” created by Access Agency.

It is a display of four life-size Audi cars, suspended inside the silver rings of a massive Audi symbol attached to an iconic bridge structure or in front of landmark spaces — the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, Tower Bridge, Venice. The rings rotate around, light-up at night, and move up and down the bridge. Against the backdrop of spectacular urban architecture, the Audi installation reflects Audi’s continuous challenging of the status quo, its capacity to innovate, and its ability to avoid the bland and the ordinary.

What I'm listening to.

C.Rich's words on the project:

First of all, I want to thank you for downloading Voice of Reason. You have no clue how much it means to me. I decided in July of 2009 that it was about time that I started taking my God given talent seriously. I started writing songs and trying to garner attention from my peers in the “Chicago Music Scene.” The people that were most of all supportive ended up being Flyy City; my Frat; my Brother, Duke and my prophyte, All-En1.

I released Rich Beyond Measures in February of 2010, not knowing who would download it, who would care about it as a project and most of all, who would enjoy it. Much to my own surprise, people loved it. It was with so many well wishes, I started working on this project, Voice of Reason. For those of us who have internal and outward struggles, our conscience typically is our voice of reason; sometimes someone outside of the situation becomes that voice.

This project is all about conflict. Conflicting styles, and conflicting emotions are the things that brought this project together. A prime example is the songs The End and Tears: Drip Drop. These 2 songs are telling one story from different sides. At the beginning, a man finds his girlfriend cheating, only to fall back to the woman he was cheating with in the first place; while the man that she was cheating with was in love with her and her only.

I truly hope you guys enjoy the project. If you guys have any comments or anything, feel free to email me at crichalchemist@gmail.com. After you listen to the project, there are 3 bonus tracks in the folder as well. Make sure you check em out! I promise you won't be disappointed!

Trust me, you won't be. The music is amazing, and it's incredible to see my brother continue to grow on this journey. #FlyyCity #Unfuckwitable

PS. None of this support has anything to do with the fact that I'm on the project, although it does not hurt. Lol.

Takahashi.

Takahashi Murakami speaks on his recent exhibit in Versailles, and differences between french and japanese culture.

I'm really in love with both, I've told my friends that they may lose me in france but thinking about it that seems like much more of a possibility in Japan. International sensation. In need of vacation.

Moment.

As artists, our mission is to capture even the simplest moment, and give it cause for celebration. Because life deserves to be constantly celebrated, and we sometimes forget that.

Purple Idea.

" Purple is a lifestyle. With my magazine, what I want to do is personally to be more free, and I want people to be more free, to open their possibility of contact, of sex, of love. I want that. This is important to me. I consider that Purple is a free lifestyle. " - Olivier Zahm

Fight for your right.

From Sarah "Miss High Times" Newton:

The LA city attorney Carmen Trutanich, is trying to completely dissipate medical marijuana collectives in Los Angeles. After the painstaking reduction of 800 collective to a mere 136 within the past several months, he is now trying AGAIN to reduce that number to 42 collectives for the ENTIRE city of Los Angeles. That's about 100,000+ patients alotted per dispensary, which ultimately is going to turn 42 people into RICH-ASS MUTHER FUCKAS!! This is ironic because one of Trutanich's early claims that he wishes to make collectives not-for-profit, so instead of intelligently letting supply and demand take over, he is pretty much handing 42 collectives millions and millions of dollars.

Trutanich claims that these 42 are the only ones in compliance wth zoning laws and eligible for operations....So, if you are near a school, a neighborhood, a clinic, or pretty much anything else that is part of a community, you can't operate your collective and you can not provide medicine to your patients in need.....Also. if you got a new manager within the past 3 years, then you are INELIGIBLE TO REMAIN OPEN...If your background check has a spot on it, you are ineligible to remain open, if you have moved, changed owners/management, or pretty much blinked a fucking eye in the past 3 years, then you're ineliglbe to stay open.

I don't think he realizes that if you force the hundreds of thousands of medical marijuana patients to all cram into a handful of collectives, then there is going to be long long lines and waiting time to get meds, the traffic surrounding these areas will become so congested that you will hardly be able to drive in the area, and poor old women are going to have to go completely out of their way to simply get a hold of their herbs.

This is Trutanich's lowest blow yet to the medical marijuana community yet. He is treating us like outcasts, he is trying to scare patients away, he is trying to segregate MMJ patients fromt the rest of the community like we're fucking leppers that will taint the rest of the community. He is taking away our right to autonomy, our right to decide what medicine is best for us and where we feel most comfortable procuring it, by taking it away from us and making it damn near impossible to find. He is going to cost us our freedom of choice, our livelihood, and our well-being...not to mention adding yet another few thousand people to the unemployment list...That's about 10,000 people he has added to the unemployment list in the matter of a few months due to his MMJ nazisim. Too bad being a non-profit organization, no collective workers are eligible for unemployment benefits either.

SO BASICALLY TRUTANICH, THANK YOU FOR FUCKING YOUR CITY IN THE ASS AND MAKING LIFE WORSE THAN IT ALREADY IS FOR THE PEOPLE OF YOUR CITY! YOU SIR, SHOULD BE ARRESTED FOR BEING AN INDECENT HUMAN BEING AND THE WORST CITY ATTORNEY LOS ANGELES COULD POSSIBLY BE CURSED WITH AT THIS TIME!

Hot Sauce.

The fire baby.

It'll burn us both.

Hanging off the edge of temptation.

More than ready to let go.

Is giving in, giving up?

Not where I'm from

Eyes burn like candles from across the room.

Saying more than your lips will allow.

For now.

We knew where this would lead then.

Addictive personalities

High off life and other drugs

Flipping the coin in the air between lust and love.

But we don't really care where it lands.

Not when our nights are never ending.

And our mornings, new beginnings.

Good thing I brought my shades.

While I witness you shine

As the sun does a line

and rises.

Friends would rather pull us apart.

But what they fail to realize is

Other lames don't hang tight enough.

Other flames don't burn bright enough.

Too afraid to glow, they choose to be sillouetes.

While you burn brilliantly.

And I.

A little too flyy.

and thus easily distracted

By the light.
