You copping those LaForge's........

From HypeBeast:

In a first for high profile fashion house Maison Martin Margiela, the brand has released their first pair of eyewear in the form of the L'Incognito Sunglasses. In a page out of
Geordi LaForge and Star Trek: The Next Generation with the visor steez, the sunglasses feature a large wrap-around frame-less build. Aside from the style seen here, other colorways are also available.

The Greatest show.......

I promised pictured.Sorry. The camera broke. I was pissed.

I've heard so much hype about this concert over the past couple of months that I had an idea of what to expect. Nothing could've prepared me for that man. The opening acts were all dope, kinda pissed I missed Lupe but I've seen him perform more times than I got fingers so I wasn't sweating it like that. We got to our seats, didn't like em so we find some new ones and sat down as N.E.R.D started. They immediatly made me get back up and put on one hype ass show. "Everybody Nose" is my official party record, and "spazz" sounds so much better live. Pharrell trully did the rock star. Rhianna shut it down, I heard Kanye redesigned her performance, it was sick either way and watching it made me realise that rhianna got some hits.....The world got built, the smoke came on and that spaceship started talking "Wake up Mr.West" Kanye appeared in the middle of the stage and began spitting Good morning. I heard how Kanye had built this whole world around him and a storyline involving his spaceship, it all didn't take hold for me until "I Wonder" where the ground turned into the sky and the background became outerspace and suddenly we're flying right along with him, from that point on I was gone on whatever journey Kanye was taking me on. Every song fit perfectly into the story and rocked the house. To be able to see 1000's of people losing their minds to "Can't tell me nothing" is a beautiful thing. "Flashing Lights" my favorite Kanye record ever put me in a whole other zone only to be bested by "stronger." What was really amazing was that for the whole set Kanye rocked the stage by himself(Lupe came out @ the end for touch the sky) and he killed it by himself. It was the greatest performance I'VE ever seen by an artist and it was an incredible experience. The bar has been set greatness. Sorry you missed it. Peace....

Nas "Nigger, slave and the master"

So I heard he changed the name of his album from "Nigger" to "Nas". I'm not really that pissed because this album will still contain the core message and if this track is any sort of preview I'm gonna be feeling this one as much as the last one. It's Nas man....

Circa 87' - Fall 2008......

From Highsnobiety:

For those of you that think that Fall wants to jump on the bandwagon of the Reebok Freestyle success in recent months, you are mistaken. The Aerofit is an old model by Nike, first released in 1987. The Freestyle was released in '82, which means that inspiration behind the Aerofit is still pretty obvious.

In 2008 it comes back in a slightly adjusted version and it will be released in a range of colorways this coming Fall season. Via The Clones.

Walking down the street...........

I was walking down state street and saw some street performers in full swing, had to take a pic. I love living in a place where random outbursts of creativity are applauded. There are countries where things like that could get you shot. I'm not really sure what they were trying to present with the performance but I was surrounded by people who swore they knew what the fuck they were talking about. I heard screams of "its about self-control!", "poverty!!", someone even decided that this somehow had something to do with the war in Iraq. I wanted to laugh, and tell some of these people to shut the hell up, that might've been rude. lol. As I stood there watching the artist perform I started thinking about our quickness in labeling things. Everything we do needs a neat box to fit in, and people love being the first to find a name for that box. This truer than ever in music. Labels are pro's @ creating boxes, as well as fans nowadays. I decided a long time ago that I would no longer label or box things up because while your worried about it fitting a label your losing the enjoyment of it. Music in particular. Whatever happened to just enjoying music for what it is and as it is. Fuck that, the time is ripe to flatten that box and do a few head spins on top of it. So, as people around me looked for a deeper meaning to the performance in front of us, I simply captured the moment and enjoyed it as it was. Its funny what you see walking down the street sometimes.....

Detox????????

This is a paragraph from "2dopeboys" about a behind the scene experience they had while working on......thats right.....Detox. The Dr. Dre album we've been waiting on for 8 years. Yessir.

Recently, I received some records submitted for Detox which were written by an artist by the name of Prophet. We didn’t end up keeping any of them but Dre liked his style of writing and the production so he wanted me to fly him and the producer WallStreet out. Once they arrived everyone got acquainted and started working. WallStreet pulled up a sample and started crafting the drums as Prophet who funny enough is a reggae/hiphop artist started writing the rap. The chemistry in the room was amazing. Dre walked in and heard the track and the first thing he said was we need to replay the sample and we’ll have a buzz single for Detox. Dre got on the boards and started to get more involved with the production. He started to EQ WallStreet’s drums making them sound 10 times bigger. He had the guitar and strings played over and the finish product of the track was CLASSIC Dre. Prophet continued to write the record and then laid his vocals to the record so Dre could learn the song. I expect Dre to lay his vocals down in the next day or so. It will be extremely hard if not impossible to get the song because no one has access to the files once Dre records to it. For now, all I have is the version with Prophet’s vocals on it.

Kanye yelling for the engineer to turn off the screen during his show in Houston, I like how he continues performing even though he's getting pissed. Can't wait for the chicago show.
