Lucky Us, Tomorrow People............

Lucky us, tomorrow people......

We wear our hearts on our sleeves.
Our passions wrapped around our wrists.
Capturing every moment, as if a mere color.
While we paint out the big picture.
Dreamers who realize the difference.
Between happiness and whatever settling feels like
Is what you do once you open your eyes.
In pursuit.
Unafraid to take flight.
Or give chase.
Especially since most of us are sneaker heads.
Wearing shoes to rare to be worn.
By any other.
Recognizing one another through glances.
Irregular circumstances.
But we're prepared for it.
Hard to surprise the owners of sunrises.
Usually found wherever the night lives.
Someone told us what the secret to life is.
So its only right that we share.
Personal poets, potheads and prophets.
With doctorates.
Or at least degrees.
With the future rolled up somewhere in our sleeves.
Haunted by our past
Until we remember to forget.
Too inspired by mistakes to call them regrets.
Moving to fast for yesterday
When we've already started writing our tomorrows.
Taking our time with us as we go.
We're rolling stones.
And bitch I might be rolling.
Definitely stoned.
High off life and the view of city lights.
Any night is ours if we want it.
And of course we want it.
We're the lonely or the loved. Changes every day.
Explorers in the realms still unknown
So we can show them to the ones afraid to leave home.
We see more inside of a minute
Then some see in a lifetime.
Can't be placed inside a box or a prison.
Not built for that type of vision. Your cube to our prisms
Willing to believe in you but never your limits.
Believers.
Only asking the same in return.
Because theirs so much I could show you.
If you'd let me.
Or if you could get me.
But we're to hard to catch.
Hard to contain for longer than a second.
Word is you only get 15 of em.
But we're made to last a lifetime.
Found out how to be immortal and chose to pass it around.
Its only fair.
If only you could see it.
As we do.
But I'm hoping enough of us will be able to teach you.
If I'm not too far gone already to reach you.
Living once twice because we're not promised a sequel.
Lucky us, tomorrow people.......
